August 25, 2015 — the Sberbank Corporate University held the opening ceremony for the fifth intake of the Sberbank 500 program. 410 students started their training program: 380 Sberbank executives and 24 executives from Sberbank subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as 6 executives from Rostelecom plus 6 executives from the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending, which are Sberbank's strategic partners.
Sberbank launched the Program together with INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools, in 2011. Counting all five intakes, the number of program graduates will exceed 2,000 Sberbank managers. Most graduates (66%) of the first three intakes have already been promoted within Sberbank.
In 2015, Sberbank 500 became a compulsory level-based training program for middle managers of Sberbank Group and a pre-condition of promotion to the upper management level. The program is customized to meet the strategic development objectives of Sberbank and applies the “Leaders Teaching Leaders” model, where all subjects are developed and taught with the participation of the Bank's top managers. The experts employed by the School of Finance and the School of Risk Management at the Sberbank Corporate University play a major role in program development.
